05 Best Thailand Tourist Places | Travelling Thailand

When traveling Thailand, you’ll discover that this is a country that is rich in culture, has beaches with blue seas and white sands, and it has a vast number of older cities that contain historical locations that have to be seen in order to believe that they even exist. There are many Thailand Tourist Places to be visited but few of them are amazing and mentioned in this blog.

Ching Mai | Thailand Tourist Places

Ching Mai Thailand Tourist Places must be visited during the visit of the Northan part. Chiang Mai can be reached by bus, train, or even plane. A bus ticket from Bangkok to Chiang Mai will cost between 300 - 400 baht per person depending on which bus operator you choose at your travel agent.

 

The bus ride takes between nine and ten hours and stops for meals approximately 4 hrs into the journey. Buses are quite comfortable and cheap. Train tickets cost 700 baht for an AC sleeper and take from twelve to fourteen hours. 

There are also very good deals on flights when you book in advance. A cheap flight from Bangkok to Chiangmai would cost about 1200baht plus taxes.

In Ching Mai Thailand tourist Places you can take Elephant Riding, white water rafting, visiting the hill tribes in their villages. The treks are from easy to medium difficulty. Pai | Thailand Tourist Places

Pai Thailand Tourist Places also must be visited during the visit of the Northan part. Pai is located 150kms from Chiang Mai. You can get to Pai very easily from Chiang Mai. There is public transport or mini-vans available in Chiang Mai. A mini-van from Chiang Mai to Pai costs 180baht and the same from Pai to Chiang Mai. 

Pai is surrounded by mountains of forests. Everyday life is very laid back up in Pai. Some travelers spend months up in these areas as food accommodation is cheap and the surroundings are beautiful. 

In Pai, you can learn Thai cooking, practice Yoga, and do sporting activities such as Trekking and rafting on the Pai River. 

Renting a bike is cheap too, a mountain bike costs around 60 baht and a 100cc motorbike costs 80 baht. In Pai, unlike many other places, you can actually pay for insurance when you rent a bike and this will cover you for accidental damage to theft and third-party damages. 

Around Pai are many other little villages of different tribes like Lahu, or Karen hill tribes. You can see them wearing their traditional clothes whilst going on with their daily lives. Cheap accommodation is usually wooden huts and can be quite cold at night. Hot water is usually available at guesthouses. 

There are some very nice cafes in Pai serving organic coffee, fresh fruit shakes, and alcohol. Restaurants are plenty in Pai, street vendors too.

 Koh Chang | Thailand Tourist Places

Koh Chang is Thailand's second-largest island and one of the beautiful Thailand Tourist Places. From Khaosan Road, you can book a complete trip to Koh Chang. Costs include Mini-van from Khaosan road to Trat and the ferry to Koh Chang. A ferry crosses every hour from Trat to Koh Chang. 

The cost of a one-way ticket to Koh Chang is  250 Baht from Khaosan road. You can also get the public bus from Ekamai East Bus station in Bangkok which will get you to Trat for 198 baht. Just go to the bus station 45 minutes before and you should be fine.

As in many other islands in Thailand, there are Pickup Trucks that are used to get around the island. It costs 70 baht to get from the ferry to bang bao which is on the other side of the island. 

Another option is to hire a motorbike which is a great way to explore the island. The cost of renting a motorbike on Koh Chang varies between 150 baht and 200 baht per day.

Koh Phangan | Thailand Tourist Places

Koh Phangan is a famous Thailand tourist places, where you can enjoy huge parties on the Full moon night, Beaches and waterfalls. Thousands of people gather on Haad rin beach every month to celebrate their freedom with music and the full moon. The parties have changed as the masses have gathered here. 

You can just imagine on Haadrin beach there are 10 pumping sound systems and all playing different styles of music. Not a good thing but something for all. On the black moon and 1/2 moon parties, the vibe is nicer and the music is more consistent. 

After parties happen at different locations but the most regular is the Back yard located south of Haad rin near a hillside with a great view of Koh Samui. You can learn to learn Ayurvedic Yoga massage in Koh Phangan at the Sanctuary Resort in Haad Tien. 

There are many restaurants on Koh Phangan serving both Thai and continental food. This in addition to the normal street vendors selling bbq, chicken(GAI), pork (MOO), sticky rice(KawNiaw), Egg Noodles (Baami), Rice Noodles (Selek).

Haad Yuan beach on the east coast is a relaxed beach. About 400 meters of white sand and deep blue water. No Road access keep this beach quiet.

Haad Sadet beach on the east coast is home to Thaansadet waterfall. Very beautiful with its white sand and blue sea. Aow Thong Nai Pan beach on the east coast is a double crescent beach with lush white sands. 

Many family travelers like to go to Aow Thong Nai pan beach. Haad Khuad beach on the north coast is about 300 meters long and has lush sand and sea. Great for snorkeling. No road access keeps this place relaxed.

Haad Mae on the northwest coast is about 600 meters long and is very wide offering lots of shade and probably some of the best snorkeling in the Gulf of Thailand. When the tide is low you can reach the neighboring island called Koh Maa on foot. 

Haad Yao beach is about 400 meters long and is very popular amongst young people. A moving nightlife keeps the young ones around. Good snorkeling too.

Than Sadet waterfall is located 1 km behind the Than sadet beach on the west coast. It's a run of about 3 km passing rocks, pools, and rapids. Great for swimming.

Phaeng Waterfall is located in the center of the island and is also very famous. It runs through the Jungle and the water is cold. 

Great for refreshing yourself. From there you can walk for 20 minutes and reach the top of the mountain where you can see a 360-degree view of the island. 

Paradise waterfall is located about 3km before Chalaoklam on the main road. This place is popular for the after-parties held. Great place to chill out. There are few restaurants here too.

Koh Lanta | Thailand Tourist Places

Koh Lanta gives you the free spirit atmosphere, any remote island can feed you with, it is easy to get to, practical in size, and mega friendly and amazing Thailand tourist places for visiting.

Coming from mostly a Muslim background, although Buddha is also dominant, one spends days snorkeling; diving; sunbathing...or just chilling...sipping on Papaya shakes.

A couple of massage parlors, massages on the beach practically all the time, a few but really good nightspots..full moon parties, (the works). Mostly everyone hangs around in the resorts, at night. 

One raw Thai boxing stadium shows a night of fights once a week; elephant trekking is great there. The layout is simple, there is one wide untarmaked road that runs parallel to the beach finally taking you to the city which is called "Saladan". 

Further still, after spending some time there one can also visit the beautiful neighboring islands, in the Krabi district.
